CJ Plants Justice Tree at Tooro Palace
The Hon.Chief Justice. Hon. Justice Bart Katureebe planting a tree at the Tooro palace
Fort Portal. The Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Bart M. Katureebe, on Monday August 14, 2017, toured the Tooro Palace in Karuziika, Fort Portal.
He hailed the kingdom for promoting and preserving culture. The Chief Justice was received by Princess Elizabeth Bagaya and kingdom' s Prime Minister, Hon. Bernard Tungwako who took him on a guided tour around the palace.
The Chief Justice also planted a tree of justice at the palace. This was the 1,300th tree to be planted at the palace by the courts.
Other trees were planted by the Fort Portal Deputy Registrar, Her Worship Lillian Mwanda and Chief Magistrate, His Worship Henry Omalla.
During the exercise, the Chief Justice said, "this tree is a symbol of preservation of justice not only at the palace but the entire Tooro Kingdom."
Minister Tungwako extended an invitation to Hon. Justice Katureebe for the upcoming Coronation Anniversary next month. The Kingdom also handed him a portrait of the King Oyo Nyimba Iguru as a memento from his visit at the palace.
